  • Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive  priority, which is why occasional appointments may be delayed. Please understand that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

  • Patient Arrival Policy

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.

For your convenience, drop off appointments are available. A "drop off" means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to "drop off" sometime in the morning so our doctor can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, someone will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions. Please make sure to call before you drop your animal off be ensure that a drop off appointment is available.

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet.
  • Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, America Express, cash and personal checks. We also accept Care Credit.

Yes, patients are seen by appointment. Emergencies are always a priority.

    3. What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, Check, Mastercard,Visa, Discover, AMEX and CareCredit.

    4. Can I make payments?

Payment is required at the time of service in full. Deposits may be required for hospitalized cases.

    5. At what age can I have my pet spayed or neutered?

Spaying or neutering can be done at approximately 6 months of age. Your pet is given an exam prior to surgery to help determine whether your pet is healthy enough to undergo the surgical procedure. Current vaccinations are required at the time of surgery. Also a pre-anesthetic blood screen is recommended prior to undergoing anesthesia and surgery.

    6.  What is the pre-anesthetic blood screening?

This is a blood test that is run here in the clinic prior to surgery. It tests the organ functions, blood counts and clotting function of your pet. The pre-anesthetic blood screening is done to assure safety during surgery and the ability to heal following surgery.

    7. How long do the sutures stay in after my pet's surgery?

Most procedures involving sutures do not require them to be removed. Dissolvable sutures are used whenever possible.

    8.  Is it a good idea to let my pet have at least one litter?

No, there is no advantage to letting your pet have one litter. However there are plenty of advantages to having you pet spayed or neutered. These advantages include decreasing the chances of breast tumors later in life, decreasing the chance of cystic ovaries and uterine infections later in life, decreasing the desire to roam the neighborhood, decreasing the incidence of prostate cancer later in life, helping prevent spraying and marking, and also decreases the surplus of unwanted puppies and kittens.

    9.  Do you board pets?

No. We unfortunately are not able to board pets due to zoning laws. We will be happy to help you by recommending reputable facilities that do provide boarding and/or grooming.

     10. Do you groom pets?
We provide medicated baths and routine bathing but do not do any types of grooming that would require cutting and styling.
